Seasoned regional leaders will guide you as you travel along various paths:

- the path of the mystic
- the path of the activist
$30 fee includes all experiential modules, materials, lunch and spiritual tools. We will begin to gather with refreshments at 8:30 am.
Our keynote speaker, Marci Madary, will present the different spiritual paths that we experience as well as lead a session on "the path of the mystic." Marci has worked in the area of spirituality for over 20 years and received her training as a spiritual director through the Franciscan Spirituality Center is La Crosse, WI. She is also a nationally certified Enneagram teacher through the Palmer/Daniels school in the narrative tradition, helping people understand themselves and interpersonal dynamics. Marci is also a Reiki master practitioner, and is grateful to be able to walk with people in their journey to wholeness and health. She is passionate about poetry and has a doctorate of ministry in spirituality. Now happily married, Marci is a widow and mother of two.
Mary will lead a session on "the path of the activist." She is the executive director of One Body Collaboratives in Rockford, IL, and also the project manager of the Bridges Out of Poverty Project (a project of Transform Rockford managed by One Body Collaboratives). One Body Collaboratives is built on the concept of collaboration and has an original mission to unite the Christian Churches to collaboratively work together. By doing so, we can rebuild lives and transform our community. Bridges Out of Poverty is a national antipoverty organization that helps people move toward upward mobility.
Chris will facilitate "the path of the heart." She is a keyboardist and the director of the bell choir at Christ Lutheran Church in Belvidere. She has also served as church organist at First Lutheran Church in Freeport for 10 years. Chris is also an elementary music educator in the Lena-Winslow schools and has served as the LOMC Swing Choir Director.
The Rev. Craig Mueller
Craig will guide us on "the path of the mind." He is the lead pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Chuch in Chicago. With special interests in liturgy, preaching and spirituality, Craig has both published materials and presented workshops in those areas. He has published two books -- Preparing Assembly Worship (an extensive list of suggested hymns for Sundays and festivals in Indexes to Evangelical Lutheran Worship) and Any Body There: Worship and Being Human in a Digital Age.
